About the Owner

Hi! My name is Lindsay Jauch. I have been riding horses most of my life. Really, I got into riding around age 11. Prior to that I played tennis. I horse showed on the “A” circuit as a teen riding in the hunters, but took a break to play high school tennis. When I was a junior in high school, a German instructor got me back into the saddle. He built me back up in the saddle from scratch. When I say from scratch, I mean, I literally was taking lunge line lessons on my made 3 foot hunter. No stirrups, no reins, he made me do it all, but that old man, I can attribute to teaching me feel, for which I will forever be grateful.

My parents began to import German Hanoverians when I was in high school. They purchased a farm and continued to import these young, not so broke horses for years. At this point, I was focused more on Jumpers and Dressage. I made mistakes. I broke, in the not so good way, a lot of horses. I learned a lot. And I got to ride and make up some brilliant horses too. The greatest thing I have learned on my journey riding younger horses is that I will never know everything about horses. It will always be a learning process. And the more I listen, the more I am able to communicate with and understand my horses. It’s one of the most amazing things in life to earn a horse’s trust because it is trust earned without speaking with your mouth, but you build the relationship in so many other ways.

A True Passion

I have taken lessons with many people through the years, from the German style of training, to Eventing, to Dressage, to long lining, and currently circled back to the Hunters. Every person that I have trained with has given me advice and information that added to my Horse dictionary. Everyone has their own style, and therefore, not all trainers match with the horses that I have at any given time. I am constantly listening to my horses as to what works best for them, as they genuinely are the greatest teachers of all.

As I mentioned, I have ridden Hunters, Jumpers, and Dressage horses on my Equestrian journey thus far. I have not always loved all things horses, but they have truly become a passion of mine. So, welcome along on my continued journey as a “professional” Amateur rider, horse owner, and barn owner. It’s quite a ride. Throw on some sticky spray and hang on!
